Peepal Tree Foundation, partnered with Ashirvadam, a Bangalore based Non profit, to conduct training for economically disadvantaged women from Hauzrani village, New Delhi. The month Long training program is power packed with livelihood skill training along with solid awareness sessions on topics like Food and nutrition, legal matters (dealing with domestic violence, if-teasing, acid raids, sexual abuse), digital literacy, Finance (SHG, micro finance, insurances) making 100% organic soaps and bath salts and lip balms, training in tailoring and crocheting!
With 24 women between the age group of 18 to 45, we have successfully completed the first week of the training. It is overwhelming yet humbling for us to see the level of keenness in women who have stepped forward towards progress, self reliance and empowerment. We are grateful to Ashirvadam for being our project partner, grateful to almighty for the opportunity to be instrumental, our volunteers (especially Sheeba Ali, for your constant support), and Beneficiaries for this entire journey of learning and growing together.
