  • JULY 19-Volunteer Meet
    With a great team of enthusiastic  and benevolent volunteers PTF held its 5th Volunteer Meet with pride. Updates from volunteers, sharing achievements, way forward, roles and responsibilities were the highlights of the meeting. Volunteers were felicitated with a picture frame of them conducting sessions. 
  • JUNE 19-A New Beginning
    Munirka cluster 2 was identified and the library program was initiated by holding a session there. A small mandir in the middle of slum lanes was our space to sit with the kids and tell them the story of the hungry caterpillar and brain games. Session ended with distribution of snacks.
  • MAY 19-1st Volunteer Enrichment Program
    Our First Volunteers Enrichment Program was an intense mutual learning full day program conducted by Smita Roy, Madhavi Kumar and Archana Chandel.   • MAY 19-Start of Gurgaon Chapter
    Peepal Tree Foundation, partnered with Ashirvadam, a Bangalore based Non profit, to conduct training for economically disadvantaged women from Hauzrani village, New Delhi. The month Long training program is power packed with livelihood skill training along with solid awareness sessions on topics like Food and nutrition, legal matters (dealing with domestic violence, if-teasing, acid raids, sexual abuse), digital literacy, finance (SHG, micro finance, insurances) making 100% organic soaps and bath salts and lip balms, training in tailoring and crocheting!
  • MAY 19-Start of Kishangarh Centre
    A new location was identified and PTF started with a workshop at Kishangarh village, Vasant Kunj. Enthusiastic 29 children attended the workshop who look forward to a new session and library books every week 
  • MAY 19-Volunteer Meet
    Our 4th Volunteers meet was conducted with gusto that focused on welcoming and introducing new volunteers, sharing updates of activities of PTF, forthcoming events and way forward. Highlight was the plan for starting up new locations shortly.
  • APR 19-Start of Vasant Kunj B5/6
    Basti settlement opposite sector B5/6, Vasant Kunj became our fifth location for intervention. Space adjacent to mandir was identified to hold sessions for around 35 children. 
  • APR 19-Start of Masoodpur Centre
    Our fourth location was initiated in association with New Delhi Children’s Hospital and Research Centre (NDCHRC) at Masoodpur, Vasant Kunj. Around 50 children attend the centre everyday and PTF supports them with storytelling and activity sessions every week.
  • APR 19-Products dispatched to Singapore
    PTF is privileged that a consignment of hand-crafted products made by our women with Saksham just left our port for Ramakrishna Mission,  Singapore.
  • APR 19-Workshop at Rangpuri Pahari
    We proudly conducted our first workshop at Rangpuri pahari, Vasant Kunj with 24 kids in a small room generously given to us by a local for the cause. 
  • APR 19-India CSR Meet
    A few members of PTF was invited and attended the prestigious INDIA-CSR meet.  
  • MAR19- IIM team Visit
    A team of IIMs alumni visits one of our slum, Munirka where we conducted Saksham session and celebrated together. The team also contributed financially as a gesture of appreciation for the work we are doing in slums. 
  • MAR19- Start of Hauz Khas Centre
    Third location was proudly started at slums near Hauz Khas village with 34 children from very poor background.
  • MAR19- Saksham at Rangpuri Pahari
    PTF initiated Saksham  at Rangpuri Pahari with a group of 5 women. Training on mat making was conducted to the mentioned group in the slum. 
  • MAR19- 2nd Volunteer Meet
    PTF conducted its 2nd Volunteers meet. Attended by 9 women volunteers, discussing reach out plans, strategies and of course food and fun! Kudos to all the women power at PTF.  
  • FEB 19- Thankful to Goonj
    We thank Goonj, a non profit charitable organisation in India who supported PTF by donating 260 books for The Circulating Library of our program Samarth, for underprivileged children.   
  • FEB 19- 1st Volunteer Meet
    PTF’s first Volunteers meet happened on the 25th Feb. Hosted by our volunteer Vijaylakshmi, over a homemade gala lunch, our volunteers chatted and shared their unique vision with the organisation moving forward. The meeting was attended by 4 more volunteers. 
  • FEB 19- Workshop at Haiderpur Slum
    Peepal Tree Foundation held the unique workshop for children at the Haiderpur slum, North Delhi. A wonderful session was conducted by Smita Roy with about 23 children. 
  • Jan19- Start of Saksham Program
    Peepal Tree Foundation initiated Saksham, our Women Empowerment Program on the 29th January 2019. We conducted a training on stitching for 5 economically disadvantaged women from Samshan Juggi, Munirka Gaon.
